Tree-ditions
Welcome to Tree-ditions, A Woodcraft and Nature Company
Established in 2012, we are a family run business near Edinburgh in stunning East Lothian delivering Nature Connection through a wide range of indigenous skills training courses.
We primarily serve Edinburgh, the Lothians and the Scottish Borders from our woodland base camp and fabrication yard in East Lothian.
Our woodcraft and nature based offerings include our 'Award Winning' service, Creating Places! We design and construct unique nature inspired places. From turning a field into a community garden to creating a stunning practical focal point for your business, school or community group.
We also offer private garden rooms, offices, shelters and tiny houses. We design and build these one off places and spaces with your full involvement!
'We love to build using locally sourced materials, stone and timbers and keep them looking as natural as possible'.
From rustic styled buildings to traditional full scribe American Log Cabins.
We also undertake and teach Dry Stane Dyking and Hedge Laying. See our menu for further information on these services.
Our other speciality is delivering a range of Nature Connection experiences, teaching indigenous skills through Bushcraft and Survival, Green Woodworking, Wildlife Tracking and Outdoor Cooking. Our courses are an immersion in nature with hands on learning using predominantly traditional (and sometimes contemporary) tools to learn skills, many of which have almost been lost.
We run training courses to suite you or your own groups. Our woodland location near Edinburgh makes a fantastic choice for our Corporate Team Building activities for your staff development.
More information available in our courses menu link or contact us to discuss your needs.
